Pad configuration
Signature pad
For a signature to be captured, a signature pad or tablet PC mode must be configured.
For the configuration, start the application “Pad configuration”. This can normally be accessed from the Windows start menu. Alternatively, “STPadConfig.exe” can be started from the directory “%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\signotec\Pad Konfiguration.”
Automatic search
If a signature pad is to be used, it must be connected to the computer in advance.
Once the pad configuration has been called, an automatic search for connected signature pads can be performed.
If a signature pad is found, the model will be displayed along with the text “Found” in green.
The configuration must then be saved by clicking “Save.”
Manual search
If no signature pad is connected or found, you will need to check that the device has been connected correctly and that any required drivers have been installed. You can then repeat the search by pressing the “Search” button.
Manual pad configuration
If the signature pad is not available or connected via an IP address, the model and the connection type can be selected from the list manually and confirmed by pressing “Save.”
Touch/pen input (tablet PC)
If the touch or pen input of the Windows tablet PC or the signotec Pen Display is to be used instead of a signotec signature pad, an automatic search must not be performed.
Instead, “Tablet PC” must be selected from the list manually as the model and then confirmed by pressing “Save.”
If the list does not contain the option “Tablet PC,” the file “PadList.xml” must be opened from the installation directory (standard: %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\signotec\Pad Konfiguration) with a text editor. You then need to find the entry “Tablet PC” and set the parameter “Visible” to “1.” The file must then be saved and the pad configuration must be called up again.
