General limitations

The following general limitations apply to the use of signoSign/2.

• There are currently no known general limitations.

Limitations for documents

The following limitations apply to documents that limit or prevent editing with signoSign/2:

• Documents that do not contain searchable text can only be configured to a very limited extent (e.g. if they were created with deprecated PDF components or often also if they were printed from the browser on a PDF printer).

• Documents created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer cannot be processed.

• Documents containing XFA form fields cannot be processed.

• Documents that have protection or password protection cannot be processed or can only be processed to a limited extent.

• Documents for which signing is not permitted in the security settings cannot be processed.

• Documents in which JavaScript functions are implemented can be processed, but these functions are not taken into account.

• Documents containing multimedia elements such as videos can be processed, but these elements are not taken into account.
