Scanner and Webcam
Scanner
In signoSign/2, documents can be scanned in using a locally connected scanner. The scanned content is attached to the open document as new pages.
The following driver options are available for scanning.
Use the interface of the scanner driver
This option is active by default and scans the document via the scanner’s TWAIN interface.

Size of the appended pages | This setting determines the size in which the scanned pages are appended to the document. Same as last page of the document: The scanned pages are inserted in the same size as the last page of the document. Same size as scanned document: The scanned pages are inserted into the document in the size of the scanner settings. DIN A4 portrait format: The scanned pages are always inserted into the document in the size of a DIN A4 document in portrait format. DIN A4 landscape format: The scanned pages are always inserted into the document in the size of a DIN A4 document in landscape format. Default: Same as last page of the document |
Size of inserted images | This setting determines whether scanned content should be scaled. Only shrink too large images Scanned pages are inserted in their original size if the page size allows this. Content that is too large for the page size is scaled (reduced) to the page size. Adjust image to page: Regardless of the original size of the scanned page, the content is scaled to the page size. Content that is smaller than the inserted page is enlarged. Default: Only shrink too large images |
Use the interface of the scanner driver
This option scans the document via the scanner’s WIA interface.

Color depth | This setting determines the color depth in which the document is scanned. The following options are available:

Resolution | This setting determines the resolution in which the document is scanned. The following options are available:
Default: Medium |
Brightness and contrast | These settings determine the brightness and contrast with which the documents are scanned. Use the slider to specify whether the brightness or contrast of the scanned pages should be changed. If the image is to be scanned darker and with low contrast, the slider must be moved to the negative area (left). If the image is to be scanned more brightly and with high contrast, the slider must be moved to the positive area (right). Default: 0 (center) |
Webcam
In addition to scanning pages, images can also be captured via a webcam and inserted as a new page in the open document.
The following settings are available for the webcam.
Option | Description |

Name of the first image | Defines the name of the button for capturing the first image. Default: Empty. The button in the webcam dialog is called “capture first image.” |
Name of the second image | Defines the name of the button for capturing the second image. Default: Empty. The button in the webcam dialog is called “capture first image.” |
