Licensing
On delivery, signoSign/Universal runs in demo mode and consequently watermarks are added to documents and signatures. A license is required for live use.
Licensing for signoSign/Universal is based on the following features:
License feature | Description |
---|---|
Host name | The computer name entered on the license is compared with the output of the Java function |
Number of processors | The number of processor cores used entered on the licence may not be lower than the actual number of cores used by the operating server. |
Concurrent uses of the Viewer | The number of concurrent uses entered on the licence refers exclusively to the documents displayed in the Viewer. Access to data sets or resources of the web service interface is not included in concurrent use of the Viewer. |
Reading out the host information
To enable a license to be created, the required information concerning host names and number of processors must be provided. These are displayed on the console when you start signoSign/Universal and are also logged.

Please note that in addition to the technical features—depending on the license procedure—consumption data such as the number of signatures or documents also play a role.
Deposit license
The license is transmitted in electronic form (as a character string) and must be made available to the application.
A licence key can be set in the settings.properties file, as a Java system property or as an environment variable.
Licensing via the settings.properties:
business.licenseKey={LICENCE_KEY}
