Default printer | Defines the printer that will be used to print the document. The following options are available: No selection: No defined printer is assigned. When printing, the Windows print dialog is displayed for manual selection of the desired printer. Default printer: The printout is made on the default printer configured under Windows without further prompt. Printer 1–4 (configuration): The printers with the description “1–4 (configuration)” refer to the predefined printers from the software’s global printer settings. The use of predefined printers makes it possible to manage printers in a central location without having to update individual document types. Specific printer: In addition to the options mentioned above, all printers recognized under Windows are offered for selection. If the specific printer is not (or no longer) available on the computer, the Windows print dialog is displayed. The next time the document type configuration is saved, the setting is reset to the default “no selection.” The use of specific printers is therefore generally only suitable for local or standardized installations. Default: No selection |
Number of copies | Defines the number of copies required. A number can be entered. The “+” icon provides a selection of placeholders and variables to dynamically read the number of copies from the document, for example. The number of copies has no effect if:
When using placeholders or variables, it must be ensured that the value read out contains an integral number. If an invalid number has been configured, an error message is displayed when printing and the user is given the option of using the Windows print dialog instead. Default: 1 |
