Functional overview
This component provides interfaces to various input devices that can be used to obtain signatures. On the one hand, signotec signature pads can be used for this purpose, but it is also possible to sign on any tablet PC - with a mouse, a pen, or a touchscreen, depending on the hardware. In the latter case, a window will open on the screen where the signature can be added.
In addition to entering the signature and querying the signature data, various settings can be adjusted, such as the line thickness of the signature, the sampling rate, and the text that is displayed on the screen during signing. In some respects, the functionality differs between the interfaces. Further details can be found in the method descriptions.
The typical procedure is as follows: first, various settings are made, then a signature is obtained by calling the capture method, and finally the signature data is retrieved. This data can then be further processed with other signotec components, for example by entering the signature into a PDF document.
