Use via network

signotec signature pads can also be connected via a network. This offers many advantages, particularly when used on a terminal server. A signature pad connected via a network can also be used alternately by several workstations.

Further information on using the software on a terminal server, as well as information on network connectivity, can be found in the related documentation.

USB-to-Ethernet adapter

Signature pads operating in HID or WinUSB mode can also be connected to the signotec USB-Ethernet adapter. This allows the device to be integrated into the network via IP, making it available across multiple workstations, for example.

In terminal server environments, connecting via IP can also lead to better performance. For further information, please refer to the network adapter’s specifications.

The USB-to-Ethernet adapter is only compatible with devices operating in USB mode. Devices operating in virtual serial mode are therefore not supported. Furthermore, the adapter is not compatible with the signotec Delta.

signotec Delta with Ethernet connection

The signotec Delta signature pad can be supplied with an optional network connection (RJ45). This connection allows the device to be operated on a network via IP. The connection type and IP address can be changed at any time in the device’s service menu.

The network connection cannot be retrofitted. If integration into the network is planned or is to be made possible in the future, it is advisable to purchase devices with an Ethernet connection from the outset.
